A CREATIVE INNOVATION IN UGANDA:
The world has become so small with the available technology, that with the Infotainment Superhighway, and the increase of knowledge, Christians in the underprivileged countries do not need to travel to America or Europe, every year, to solicit for the tools and money they need for effective ministry in their areas.
Right now, we have 470 children between 2 and 12 years of age. We have 7 Administrators a Nurse, and we employ full time, 10 Teachers, 5 Cooks, who we pay salaries. Our vision is to educate these children using the Bible as the key text. Hence, Child Discipling is our main goal, to provide academically informed local missionaries. Now, for the past few years, I travel ministering in churches I am invited. I receive love offerings. We set aside money from the love offerings that I receive and use it to pay the salaries in Uganda, and feed the 470 children a meal a day. But now, we face the magnitude of our growing Project in Uganda. We know that time has come to face up with the desire to gear away from the traditional missionary funding that becomes burdensome to both the donor and the missionary. We desire to vie from raising money by the never ending money solicitations, and have other means of support. OTIC Inc., is therefore focusing on a one time funding for investing in the purchasing of chicken layers, to launch an ongoing source of income in Uganda. That is where the idea of Ten Thousand Chickens comes in, as a Creative Innovation.
After the prophecy of the last days’ Pentecost upon all flesh, in Joel 2:28-32, the Prophet, in Joel 3:10, calls for Gentiles to “Beat your pruning hooks into spears, and your plowshares into swords: let the weak say, I am strong”: In other words, Prepare for war. Then Prophet Micah, in Micah 4:1-7, comes along and declares that in the last days, people afar off “shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks” because there will be no war, when nations have learned GOD’s ways and walk in His path (Micah 4:1-7). In other words, there is no war, be creative with your weapons of war to harvest your crops at peace time. It is written: Joel 3:9-10: Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for war! Rouse the warriors! Let all the fighting men draw near and attack. Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, 'I am strong!' cf Micah 4:2-3: And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation; neither shall they learn war any more. As Spirit filled Christians, we learn to become creative, to turn whatever we have into truly biblical Strategies with tools of evangelism, for our kind of war. Africa will say, “I Am Strong”, as we become innovative with your donation. The scenario below of Ten Thousand Chickens Project is how the Creative Innovation will operate.
A BENEVOLENT INNOVATIVE STRATEGY TO FUND CHILD DISCIPLING:
OTIC Inc., is focusing on raising $250,000.00, to continue the launch, in Uganda, of a quarter million chicken layers, by 2012, as a continuous source of income. We have started the process of are farming Chicken Layers to provide eggs. We will sell the eggs to pay the bills. This is how the theme of Ten Thousand Chickens comes: It is the starting point. The goal is a quarter million (250,000) chicken layers. We've already built a Chicken Coup to began with 10,000 Chickens. Here is how it is working: We have over 100 Acres of Joel’s tribal clan land, in Uganda, set aside to firm Egg Laying Chickens. We have completed the construction of a Chicken coup to house ten thousand chicken layers. In another year we will have over 25,000 chicken laying eggs for us to sell. Our goal is to have a quarter million chicken layers in a little under four years, using modern farming techniques used in America, by Companies like Tyson Foods. We can be financially self supporting when we have enough chickens laying eggs for us to sell and expand the project.
You ask, "Why So Many Chickens?" Good Question: Two reasons: First, the Cost of Child Discilping which includes building facilities to farm the chickens, constructing a Worship Center surrounded by a Multi-education Center to University level in some sectors, and housing for the staff. Second, besides helping us in local financial stability without overseas fund raising restraints, this new funding effort fulfill, the creative innovations that the Call in Micah 4:1-7, together with what Joel 3:10, talks about so that we may help many to fulfill the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20. Chicken farming will help to fund our effort to make us continue children’s academic education, Child Discipling programs, and the providing African local village missionaries with Tools of Evangelism. This benevolent creative innovative vision can be expanded across Africa, as part of Christ’s Great Commission. We need up to a quarter million chicken layers to provide us with eggs to sell and pay the bills.
